How We Help The Royal Blind School
Harmony 21, under the directorship of Gordon Williamson, is proud to be affiliated to the Royal Blind School in an official capacity as fundraisers and to help in raising the profile of the school, and an awareness of the work and opportunities which the school is able to offer its pupils who are drawn from Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.
Royal Blind Asylum & School, Annual Report 2006:
"Our publicity is being greatly helped by the support of Harmony 21 who have become the school's fundraising choir. A very successful concert was held in Reid Memorial Church in June. The choir was joined by male voice choirs from South Wales and Yorkshire and were ably assisted by our very own pupils. The concert raised £2000 towards a stair climber for the safe evacuation of non-ambulant pupils in case of lift breakdown."
